A record year! 2007 closes with real estate sales totaling almost $3
billion
Eagle
County real estate sales reached nearly
$3 billion surpassing the
previous record set in 2005 by more than $160 million. While dollar
volume reached an all time high, the overall number of
transactions were 2,688, the
lowest since 2003.
2007 sales totals
exceed the highest overall sales price ever in Eagle County with
the average price for all
transactions at $1,101,375, nearly 25% over last years
average sales price.
The largest
contributor to the high dollar volume year was the 96 transactions of
over $4 million. This exceeds by 31% the transactions in this price
range last year.
The other mountain
resort areas surrounding Eagle County have also seen an increase
in total dollar volume. Routt County had a 42% increase over 2006 and
Garfield County had a 17% increase. In total, the resort communities of
Eagle, Garfield, Pitkin, Routt and Summit counties showed an 8% increase
in total dollar volume over last year.
