Debi Coleman, with the Keller Williams Mountain Properties group of brokers, is fluent in German and Spanish and works comfortably with clients on both residential and commercial real estate transactions in Vail, Beaver Creek, Cordillera, Edwards and Avon, Colorado.

Coleman has specialized in resort real estate since 1986 and has an extensive background in commercial transactions. She began to focus on the marketing of accommodation businesses in 1992 after listing and selling the 148-room "Inn at Estes Park." Her impressive portfolio of closed sales - including luxury lodges, hotels, and bed & breakfast establishments give her a broad understanding of the needs of clients interested in resort properties.

A former flight attendant for airlines in Spain and Germany, Coleman learned German at the Goethe Institute and then worked as a translator/flight attendant for LTU Airlines based in Dusseldorf. Prior to that, she flew with Spantax Airlines in Palma de Mallorca as a translator/flight attendant using her Spanish language skills.

Airline work brought Coleman to Denver where she hired, trained, and supervised personnel for Rocky Mountain Airways. She met her husband Gary, who piloted the short takeoff and landing "Dash 7" for RMA, whose mountain destination was the Avon Stolport and Vail ski area.

A "Bird's eye view" of the Rockies and scenic approach to the Vail Valley made an unforgettable impression and eventually drew Coleman back to settle in the area with her family.

On the ground and in the air, Coleman's perspective is broad ranging. An enthusiastic water and snow skier, she is also an avid hiker and mountain climber. Coleman most recently trekked the 14 miles over Red Buffalo Pass from Silverthorne to East Vail. She obtained her private pilot's license in 1981.
